Creating a die cut for a customer without input data
The customer's request was to create a die cut of masking and protective adhesive tape for a product with an atypical shape, which is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The customer only provided us with basic information such as the dimensions of his product and an idea of how our solution should be implemented. For a better idea, the customer provided us with his final product, on which we tested the available types of masking and protective adhesive tape.
Our task was to create drawing documentation so that we could put into production a tool for an atypical shape. Subsequently, we selected a suitable adhesive tape that will be used as a surface protection. One of the customer's requirements was that it be a transparent masking film. For this reason, a material was chosen that is also suitable for masking during painting with good temperature resistance. For better handling, we made the die cut individually in sheets and provided locking holes for precise placement.
